I am so excited to be travelling up to Liverpool to speak at its first conference to combat racism. This conference has specially commissioned music and cultural events which will stimulate a conversation about, and action against, racism. With a focus on community cohesion, it will act as a platform for people and organisations to creatively respond to hate crime.
I have been invited to discuss my involvement in the YouTubeBlack Voices Fund, the impact of initiatives like this, as well as other projects I have going on. Hallelujah my voice will be heard. I'm also hoping to meet up and connect with people who can help me build our brand.
I'm going to be with some great artists and well known ethnic leaders in our communities. Other speakers on the day include: David Olusoga OBE, Charlene White (ITV / Loose Women), Anthony Bellew, Dr Joanna Abeyie, ENNY (Artist), Lavinya Stennett (The Black Curriculum), Professor Kehinde Andrews, Dr Mark Christian, Kevin Powell, Cathy Tyson, Mykaell Riley (The Black Music Research Unit), Bobby Friction (BBC Asian Network), Natalie Morris (The Metro), Ben Osu (Everton Football Club), Rishi Jain (Liverpool Football Club) and so many more.
